All civil servants will have the opportunity next week to sharpen professional and life skills and enhance wellbeing during Training and Development Week, hosted by the Portfolio of the Civil Service (PoCS).
The dynamic learning opportunity is to be held from 26 – 30 November 2018, with sessions in the Government Administration Building. The organisers say it will engage, challenge and inspire all civil servants.
You will be able to choose from more than 20 workshops throughout the week. Sessions focus on the goal areas contained in the 5-Year Strategic Plan for a World-Class Civil Service, namely: customer experience, leadership, communication, talent development and governance. Additionally, a wellness component has been included for each day.
“The PoCS is pleased to provide learning and development opportunities across our Civil Service. We want all of our employees to work, grow and connect, by having access to training that is relevant and enticing,” says Chief Officer Gloria McField-Nixon.
Mrs McField-Nixon encourages staff to take advantage of courses that will sharpen their skills and offer insights into this ever-changing world.
This program is designed to enhance civil servants’ ability to work in a fluid, shifting environment. Additionally, it will provide access to internal and external experts who are thought leaders in their field.
