Mrs. Leticia Goring was appointed as the Assistant Director (Labour & Pensions) for the Department of Labour & Pensions in September 2016. Prior to this appointment, Mrs. Goring served as a Senior Pensions Officer within the Pensions Investigations Unit at the Department and was promoted to her current role where she is responsible for providing strategic and operational management support to all respective enforcement units, and managing effective and efficient day-to-day operations and administration for the Department.

Prior to joining the Civil Service, Mrs. Goring gained a wealth of experience in the private sector where she served in mid-to-senior management roles and data analytics positions within the banking, telecommunications, tourism and regulatory industries. Throughout her career, Mrs. Goring has earned Employee Recognition Awards for her drive, dedication, commitment and exceptional performance, and has played an instrumental role in spearheading projects whilst serving on a number of committees to achieve organisational success.

Coupled with her experience, Mrs. Goring holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Leicester based in the United Kingdom, as well as two Bachelor degrees in Finance and Marketing from the Florida International University in the United States. She has also successfully completed an ILM Level 3 Leadership and Management Certification, and a series of local and international specialized courses and seminars in Customer Service, Risk Management, Project Management, Hazard Management, Freedom of Information and Data Protection.

Mrs. Goring is trained in CPR/First Aid and is a Mental Health First Aider. She is a member of Women in Finance, and the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), and was formerly affiliated with international charter memberships in Financial Management Association (FMA), Marketing Research Association (MRA), American Marketing Association (AMA), and Cayman Islands Society of Human Resources Professionals (CISHRP).

A former member of the first-ever Cayman Islands National Women’s Basketball Team, which represented the country in local and international games, Mrs. Goring previously served as an active member of the Cayman Islands Basketball Association and continues to attend exhibition games where possible to support her former teammates.
