Mrs. Linwood began her career in Labour Investigations and Enforcement upon joining the Department of Employment Relations in June 2007 as a Labour/Compliance Officer. She had a keen interest in Labour Relations and various Laws in the Cayman Islands and sought to embrace her new role. Mrs. Linwood was charged with the responsibility of effectively administering the Labour Act and in this role she consistently met her objectives, maintaining a high level of performance. These attributes, coupled with her passion for her work allowed her to progress to the position of Senior Labour Inspector in November 2010.

In November 2012, Mrs. Linwood completed a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Management and a Minor in Human Resource Management from the University College of the Cayman Islands. Additionally, she has a Diploma in Human Resource Management (with Distinction) from Oxford University, a Diploma in Employment Law (with Merit) from Oxford University, Mediation certification through Resolve and a Specialist Certificate in HR-Job Description Writing from the Civil Service College.

Mrs. Linwood has also commenced studies to complete her MBA in Human Resource Management and has further enhanced her leadership skills, by successfully completing the ILM Level 3 Leadership and Management Certification in November 2019. Mrs. Linwood holds additional Leadership and Management certifications, a certification in Fraud Prevention and is also a General Industry OSHA Authorized Trainer with OSHA Certification in both Accident Investigations and Industrial Hygiene.

Mrs. Linwood joined the Management team as Head of Inspections at the Department of Labour and Pensions in September 2013 where she was instrumental in revamping Standard Operating Procedures and Protocols for the unit along with a complete redesign of the unit’s workflow process. Her most recent accomplishment and the highlight of her career to date is her progression to Deputy Director (Labour) on 1st October 2014. Mrs. Linwood has always displayed a high level of dedication, perseverance, teamwork, and enthusiasm and accepts all challenges given with a positive attitude. Mrs. Linwood has the desire to assist the Department in facing the challenges of the future and is committed to her role within the Department and the Department’s Vision, Mission, and Values.

Finally and not by any means least, Mrs. Linwood has the pleasure of being a wife and mother of two children; who she boasts as her greatest accomplishments in life.
